The Brazilian cattle rearing business is going
through a sui generis situation in
mid 2005. For one thing, it is clearly on
a rising trend, with ever-increasing herds,
along with genetic and technological enhancement of the
production units.
On the other hand, this very step forward,
associated with a world structure of falling prices (a limiting
factor to producers’ income), arouses dissatisfaction in the
productive sector, if not in the chain as a whole.
