Good
fruits!
Brazil, a country of continental dimensions, discovers the pleasures
of grapes and wine. Winegrowing is a strategic and traditional
activity in the Serra gaúcha region, its biggest domestic
belt, but also attracts substantial investments in several other
regions, from South to Southeast to Central-West and Northeast.
From the Serra gaúcha wineries come 90% of the wines
and sparklings produced in the coun-try, and they are now making
their way into more and more attractive markets. The Brazilian
share in the international market of table grapes and juices
is also on the rise, greatly improving the performance of the
sector in the trade balance.
