Conquering
challenges!
The soy agribusiness in Brazil has been marked by a series
of challenges in 2004. One of the most serious involved the
performance of the country in the international marketplace,
requiring skill and boldness in countering the Chinese embargo
on the Brazilian soy shipments. Once the impasse was solved,
including renewed legislation to prevent new occurrences of
this kind, Brazil managed to keep its steady position as biggest
world exporter of the soy complex.
