Cotton
Brazilian cotton is expanding its international market. At
the 2002/2003 crop, although having reduced its planted area
by virtue of market oscillations (favor-able, for example,
to soybean), there is great expectation for an upward trend
in the businesses with foreign countries. What makes the domestic
growers believe in expanding the volumes to be sent abroad
and, equally, in the attraction of new clients, is the high
quality standard of our fi ber. A decade after the expansion
of cotton farming in the Cerrado regions, the big commercial
farms use high technology and resort to traceability to guarantee
fi rst class cotton.
